Shuttles Replace Some Blue Line Service During Station Repairs May 22 – June 8
Updated on May 18, 2022
The pedestrian bridge at Suffolk Downs station is closed for critical structural repairs.
From May 22 to June 8, 2022, we will suspend subway service and instead run shuttles all day, every day, between Orient Heights and Wonderland while we do necessary repair work.
Although the bridge work will be complete by June 8, work on the approach structures will continue after subway service resumes. The pedestrian bridge will remain closed after this work, and riders cannot move between inbound and outbound platforms until all construction is completed in summer 2022.
Riders who need to connect to the opposite platform before the bridge reopens can exit at Orient Heights or Beachmont, then take a train back to Suffolk Downs.

Why We’re Doing This Work
