Suffolk Downs Pedestrian Bridge

Status: Complete
Construction on the pedestrian bridge at Suffolk Downs station concluded in fall 2022. We have re-opened the bridge and the bridge has been brought to a state of good repair to ensure riders can move safely between inbound and outbound platforms.
Building a Better T
As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.
- Made necessary structural repairs to the bridge and its approach structures
- Included a full bridge deck replacement
- Restored the pedestrian crossover between the inbound and outbound platforms
- Restored neighborhood connection between Bennington and Walley Streets
