Winter 2024 Service Changes

Route 39 bus travels inbound to Heath St on a cleared road, while snow is on cars and the gournd.

This winter, we're making changes to Bus and Subway service. Service for The RIDE, Ferry, and Commuter Rail will remain the same.

To improve schedule reliability, departure times for weekday trips change throughout the day on the B Line and C Line.

Departure times will change on weekdays and weekends on the D Line and E Line.

Commuter Rail Service Changes

Service will resume at Lynn on December 18 for the Newburyport/Rockport lines, and at Ashland on December 23 for the Worcester/Framingham line.

There are no planned service changes at this time. Commuter Rail will be preparing Severe Weather schedules that may be used in case of a significant winter storm. These schedules will be available on the schedule page for each line.
