• Service Change Upcoming

  On the weekends of Mar 1-2 & Mar 8-9, express and local shuttle buses will replace regular train service between Swampscott and North Station on the Newburyport/Rockport Line to allow for signal improvement work.
  

  - A diversion schedule will be in effect.
  - Express service will operate between Swampscott and North Station.
  - Local service will make an extra stop at Wonderland Station for a Blue Line connection.
  - Passengers at Chelsea may also consider a Silver Line SL3 connection.
  - This allows for signal improvement work.
  
  Here is a list of the shuttle bus locations:
  
  North Station:
  Nashua Street on the Southern side of the station.
  
  Chelsea:
  On Everrett Avenue by Vale Street, North of the station.
  
  Wonderland:
  At the station busway, Berth E.
  
  Lynn:
  At the Lynn Station busway, 325 Broad Street, Berth 1. There will be no service at Lynn Interim Station, passengers must make their way to the old station's busway.
  
  Swampscott:
  On Railroad Avenue, just South of the station.

  Newburyport Line Train 165 (9:50 pm from North Station) is operating 5-15 minutes behind schedule between North Station and Newburyport due to earlier police activity in the Chelsea area.

  The new Spring/Summer 2025 schedule will take effect on all Commuter Rail lines on Monday, March 24, 2025. PDFs are available on each line's page. Schedule will be available soon on the MBTA website. MBTA.com/schedules/commuter-rail
