ShuttleDue to unforeseen technical elevator issues, trains will not stop at Winchester Station. Passengers can take a shuttle bus between Winchester Center and Wedgemere for train service until further notice.The MBTA is committed to providing accessible transportation options for all passengers. Unfortunately, we have encountered unforeseen delays in the completion of the elevator work at Winchester Center station. As a result, we were unable to open the station as initially scheduled September 30. Shuttle buses will be replacing service.
We are actively working to resolve these issues and ensure that the station meets all accessibility standards.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our riders during this process and are dedicated to providing updates as we move forward.
