On June 23 & 24, Fitchburg Line service will be suspended in both directions between Porter Square and North Station due to work on the Green Line Extension. A free subway connection will be provided at Porter Sq and North Station.
Passengers should allow approximately 30 minutes of travel time between North Station and Porter Square utilizing the subway. There will be no direct connection. Outbound trains will depart at their scheduled time from Porter Square. Inbound Fitchburg Line trains will terminate at Porter Square where passengers can connect with the Red Line for service to Boston. Passengers desiring outbound Fitchburg Line service from Boston must take the subway to Porter Square for a commuter rail connection.
Fitchburg Line notice: Train 1413 (11:30 pm outbound) will originate in Belmont due to work on the Green Line Extension. A shuttle bus will be provided for passengers from Porter Square to Belmont for continued train service to Wachusett.

Fitchburg Line notice: Passengers on Fitchburg Train 1412 (9:45 pm inbound) will transfer to a shuttle bus at Belmont for continued inbound service due to work on the Green Line Extension.

Station Issue (Ongoing)
Access to the east entrance of North Station is available through a covered walkway. Legends Way is closed to pedestrian access.
Customers are advised that the pedestrian route for customers transferring from the Green and Orange Line exits at Causeway and Beverly St into North Station Commuter Rail will be moved slightly to accommodate ongoing construction work.
After crossing Causeway St, pedestrians will use a protected walkway along the east side of Legends Way, directly abutting Portal Park. The walkway will include a barrier and kick-plate for blind and low vision passengers.
As an alternative, customers may consider utilizing the west exit from North Station Commuter Rail due to congestion.
Elevator Closure (Ongoing)
North Station Elevator 941 (Lobby to Commuter Rail and Boston Garden) will remain closed until further notice due to construction of the Boston Garden Development.
If exiting, pass through the fare gates, walk the full length of the Green Line platform to use North Station Elevator 909 (lobby to Valenti Way). If boarding, cross Causeway Street to use North Station Elevator 912 (lobby to street) or travel one-tenth of a mile down Haverhill Street to the entrance located at the intersection of Haverhill Street and Valenti Way.

There will be a $3.00 surcharge if a ticket is purchased on-board trains leaving from North Station.
