Back Bay Station Ventilation Project

Event Description

MEETING AGENDA:
The MBTA’s Back Bay Station project team will present the 60% design for the Back Bay Station Stair 5 & 6 Pressurization, as part of the overall Back Bay Station Ventilation Project which is comprised of: Stair 5 and 6 Pressurization (this public meeting) and Platform Ventilation Upgrades (future public meetings).

This first component of the Back Bay Station Ventilation Project: Pressurization of Stairs 5 & 6 (stairs leading to tracks 1,2, and 3) will provide an aerodynamic separation between the platform and concourse levels, providing immediate relief, by preventing fumes that emanate from the platform level from entering into the concourse level.
