Station ClosureBowdoin station will be closed from 7 PM on Friday, March 21, through end of service on Monday, March 24. Riders can use Government Center, a four minute walk from Bowdoin. There will be longer wait times between trains throughout this work.
This work will also take place on the weekends of April 11 - 14 & 25 - 28.
Crowding:
Riders should expect crowding at stations during peak travel times on Monday, March 24. If possible, riders are encouraged to travel outside of peak travel times while this work takes place as there will be longer wait times for trains.
Train Frequency:
Riders should expect increased wait times for Blue Line trains during this work. Expect trains every 8 to 10 minutes on weekdays. Expect trains every 9 to 13 minutes during the weekend.
Airport Bus Alternatives:
Riders travelling between Downtown Boston and Airport Station can use the SL1 or SL3 Bus. The SL1 runs every 15 minutes or better between South Station and Logan Airport Terminals. The SL3 Bus runs every 15 minutes or better between South Station and Airport Station.Updated: 3/21/2025 6:30 PM EDT
