Labor Day Haymarket Brightening Work

Updated on September 4, 2019

The newly cleaned Haymarket platform.

Over Labor Day weekend, we shut down Green Line service at Haymarket while crews worked to fix the floors, walls, and ceilings at the station.

Much of the work that took place over the weekend was cosmetic—painting and floor repairs to make the station look its best after we fixed water damage on the Orange and Green Line levels. Leak repairs and mitigation work began in April, and crews will continue to spot check and make repairs in the next few months.

Check out the before and after photos to see the difference a weekend can make.
