Quincy Bus Maintenance Facility Construction Update | Summer 2024

As part of our Bus Facility Modernization project, we’re constructing a new Quincy Bus Maintenance Facility to accommodate a larger, more modern fleet of battery-electric buses (BEBs). This will allow for potential service expansion and support our efforts to lessen our environmental impact.
Construction Progress Update
- Crews installed a traffic signal at the new intersection on Thomas Burgin Pkwy.
- Crews began building and site masonry work in June 2024.
- Crews began constructing the facility's structural steel in July 2024.
- All work, including (but not limited to) site utilities, electrical duct banks, and the electrical switch station building, is continuing on schedule.
