Officials celebrated the opening of Blue Hill Avenue Station in Mattapan in early March, 2019.

Residents can now get to South Station in less than half an hour—about half the average commute on the bus or Mattapan Line. Blue Hill Avenue is a quarter mile from Mattapan Square, is fully accessible, and features all new equipment, signage, and shelters.

Blue Hill Avenue is in Zone 1A, a one-way fare is $2.40, a round trip is $4.80, and a monthly pass is $90.00. Printed Zone 1A monthly passes are also valid for unlimited travel on the subway and bus.
