Beachmont Improvements
We’re replacing the tower structure above the outbound elevator at Beachmont. The steel and glass structure has already been demolished and will be replaced with metal panel siding and roof, similar to the inbound elevator.
- Contract awarded: October 2018 (part of overall structural repairs systemwide contract)
- Projected completion date: October 1, 2019
- Status: 75% complete
During the first phase of the project, we installed a temporary roof structure. We’re now working on installing the permanent roof structure as we complete the project.

As part of our $9.6 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.
