Quincy Adams Station Entrance at Independence Avenue Reopened
Posted on December 4, 2018
On Monday, December 3, 2018, the walkway leading from Independence Avenue in Quincy to the Red Line’s Quincy Adams Station reopened, connecting the adjacent neighborhood to faster access to the station.
Previously long closed due to neighborhood parking concerns, those customers wishing to access Quincy Adams Station would be forced to travel over a mile around the station to another entrance. Through collaboration with community advocacy groups, City officials, and the MBTA, this gated entry point near Independence Avenue reopened Monday, allowing for a better pedestrian connection direct to the station.
