The new station is fully accessible and includes parking for 360 cars. The project also includes the rehabilitation of the track, signals, and bridges on the existing Pan Am Southern rail line along with construction of a new MBTA train layover facility in Westminster.
The $93 million project was funded, in part, by a $59.2 million federal ARRA-TIGER Grant. More information about the project can be found at: http://www.mbta.com/about_the_mbta/t_projects/default.asp?id=25985.
