Event Description
As a part of Fare Transformation, our new fare payment system is being built to adapt to changes in how people travel, providing flexibility to introduce new fare structures, new ways to pay, and new passes in the future.
To enable several benefits of this system, like all-door boarding and contactless payments, we need to make some changes to our fare rules related to fare media and cards. We may also adjust our transfer rules as we bring all MBTA modes into the same fare system.
