Event Description
The East Cottage Street and Norfolk Avenue bridges, which were both built in 1906, carry the Fairmount Line through Roxbury and Dorchester. We’re replacing the steel infrastructure of both bridges to improve safety and reliability.
- Construction will take place for 12 –16 months
- Drivers can expect multiple weekday and weekend street detours
- Fairmount Line riders can expect weekend closures between Uphams Corner and Newmarket
