Robert Street Bridge Public Meeting

Event Description

The MBTA will replace a bridge which carries the Needham Commuter Rail Line over Robert Street in Roslindale (near Roslindale Village Station). Built in 1898 and rehabilitated in 1985, the bridge is due for replacement.

Construction is planned for later this year, and we invite you to attend a public meeting to view the most current design plans, to share your input, and to learn about plans to mitigate potential construction impacts.

Parking

Public parking is available at the Taft Hill Terrace City Parking Lot opposite Adams Park or on-street in the vicinity of the building at 2-hour intervals.

Public Transit Access

• From Forest Hills, Bus Routes 30, 35, 36, 37, and 51 drop off at South St. and Taft Hill Terrace, and Bus Routes 34, 34E, 40, and 50 drop off at Poplar St. and Washington St.
• From Mattapan, Bus Route 30 drops off at 6 Cummins Highway on the Washington St. side of the building.
• From Health St. Loop/Ruggles/Dudley, Bus Route 14 also drops off at 6 Cummins Highway on the Washington St. side of the building.
• Commuter Rail from South Station or Back Bay Station, on the Needham Line, will stop at the Roslindale Village Station.
