Green Line Service Changes

Throughout 2020, we’ll be performing maintenance and planned work on the Green Line to bring you better, safer, and more reliable subway service. Some of this work is part of Building a Better T 2020—which accelerates previously planned work so we can deliver results to riders sooner.

Green Line trains will stop at Park Street and Haymarket, and will not serve North Station

Weekend of February 29 – March 1, 2020

Green Line trains will stop at Park Street and Haymarket.

Riders can transfer to the Orange Line via the Winter St Concourse and Haymarket.

Accessible vans will be available for riders who need them at Haymarket and Government Center. See station personnel or use a call box for assistance.

Green Line B and C Service Changes

Due to Green Line track and intersection upgrades, shuttles will replace train service on some weekends in 2020, and for a full, 28-day weekday and weekend closure on the C Line in summer 2020.

Green Line D Service Changes

Due to major infrastructure projects on the D Line, shuttles will replace train service on some weeknights and weekends through 2020. MBTA work includes Track and Signal Replacement between Beaconsfield and Riverside and flood control work at Fenway Portal. The Town of Brookline is also working on the Brookline High School Expansion Project.

As part of our $8 billion, 5-year capital investment plan, we're renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system.

Green Line E Service Changes

Due to work on the Green Line Extension, and in support of work on the Lechmere Viaduct, shuttles will replace train service between Lechmere and North Station starting in May 2020.

Due to Green Line track and intersection upgrades, shuttles will replace train service between Heath Street and Prudential on some weekends in 2020, and for a full, 28-day weekday and weekend closure in summer 2020.

accessible Shuttle Accessibility

Shuttles are accessible to people with disabilities. Some bus shuttles may be provided by third-party contractors and will look different than MBTA buses. Some may provide accessibility via a lift in the back rather than a ramp in front.
