Tobin Bridge/Chelsea Curves Rehabilitation Project

Work on the Tobin Bridge/Chelsea Curves Rehabilitation Project began April 1, 2019.

This work required ramp and lane closures in Chelsea. During these closures, inbound Silver Line SL3 fares were waived from all stops in Chelsea, and riders could use Charlie Cards and Charlie Tickets on the Commuter Rail between North Station and Chelsea.

Ramp closures, lane closures, and project-related delays to bus routes 111, 426, and 428 have now ended. The project is expected to be complete by the end of October 2021.

Normal fare collection will resume on the Silver Line and Commuter Rail on November 1, 2021.
