The inside scoop on building the new Government Center station

The concept was to build a new station aboveground that transformed Government Center into a contemporary and visually transparent station. It will be a welcoming beacon to the city. We’ve rearranged everything so there’s walking space and accessible walkways. Now you have elevators and escalators to change lines between the Green Line and Blue Line. This station has never been [fully] accessible in the 115 years it’s been in existence. It will be a major milestone. Read more at bostonglobe.com.
