Deputy Chieft Robert T. Fitzsimmons - Administrative Services

Robert T. Fitzsimmons is a Deputy Chief of Police in charge of the Administrative Services Division. Deputy Chief Fitzsimmons has been with the MBTA Transit Police Department since 1985 and has served in several units including Patrol Operations, Court Case Management Unit, the Internal Security Unit and most recently as the Commander of the Professional Standards Unit, overseeing the Accreditation process and Internal Affairs function. He has a Bachelor′s Degree from Northeastern University, a Master′s Degree from Anna Maria College and a JD from the New England School of Law. He is a graduate of the 251st Session of the FBI NA and is also a graduate of the Police Executive Research Forum's (PERF) Senior Management Institute. He is an assessor for both CALEA and MPAC, the national and state commissions for law enforcement accreditation.
