Customer Assistance Area Debuts at South Station on Monday, April 30.
Need assistance boarding the train or locating the exit to the station or another train platform? Then proceed to the Customer Assistance Area! This pilot program is designed to provide customers with a convenient location to seek assistance from an MBTA staff member.
Members from the disability community, Judge Patrick King, and members for the Access Advisory Committee to the T (AACT) will be in attendance during this event which will take place on Monday, April 30, at 10:30am.
The Customer Assistance Area is located near the center of the southbound (to Ashmont/Braintree) platform. Signage near station faregates will provide customers with information on the purpose and the location of the Customer Assistance Area. Although South Station is the only station to have a customer assistance area at this time, other stations may have Customer Assistance Areas installed in the future.
