Beginning Monday night, 4/10, the Providence side of the pedestrian bridge at Canton Junction will be closed for repairs, requiring a 10-15 minute detour around the station to access other platforms

During construction, the station will remain fully accessible and mini-high platforms will remain open.

Access between Platform A (Providence outbound) and B/C/D (Providence inbound/Stoughton outbound/Stoughton inbound) will require a 10-15 minute walking detour around the station. This means, for example, passengers who take an inbound Providence or Stoughton train, but park on the outbound Providence side, will need an additional 10-15 minutes in the morning to access their platform via the sidewalk to the bridge at Spaulding Street.

The first phase of this project is complete and repaired the Stoughton side of the pedestrian bridge.

The second phase of this project begins April 10th, will repair the Providence side of the pedestrian bridge and is expected to last approximately 4 weeks.

Passengers should consider which trains they take and plan accordingly based on whether they intend to follow the detour during their morning or evening commute.
