Location: Downtown Crossing Station
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Note: CharlieCard Store is closed on New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day, Washington’s Birthday, Patriots’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. The CharlieCard Store closes early on Christmas Eve at 3:00 p.m.

Hours of Operation and Peak Times

Customers seeking a Senior Pass, Transportation Access Pass (TAP), or Blind Access Pass can now obtain the required photo ID in an air-conditioned and fully accessible service center in the concourse of the subway station. Moving operations from the space-constrained Back Bay office to the new CharlieCard store allows the MBTA to efficiently serve Reduced Fare customers in a more comfortable atmosphere. In addition, para-transit customers may add credit to their RIDE accounts at the new store.

Also at the CharlieCard Store, customers may

  • Purchase MBTA passes
  • Replace damaged CharlieTickets or CharlieCards
  • Reduced Fares for Senior/T.A.P. Customers
  • Buy a Pass at a Fare Vending Machine
  • Charlie's Frequently Asked Questions
  • Get the Card
