Blue Line Platform Repairs

Project Overview

The Blue Line Platform Repairs project involves the repair of platform finishes, and platform structures at Wood Island, Beachmont, Revere Beach and Wonderland Stations.  The contract scope includes the repair of the existing concrete platforms and lobby areas, the installation of new polymer overlay materials, installation of waterproofing elements between the walls and the platforms, and the removal and refurbishment of granite materials at the Stations.  There is also an electrical component to protect, remove and reinstall Authority and third party communications, signal and power systems and components.

There will not be any anticipated need for station closures to complete the remaining work

The remaining work includes:

Completion work to platform finishes
Refurbishment of granite materials at the Stations

The contract is anticipated to be completed in the Winter of 2009.
