North Station Improvement Project

The North Station Improvement Project will add approximately 18,000 square feet of circulation and waiting space to the existing MBTA North Station. The project will also increase the size the men's and women's toilets in the TD Bank North Garden concourse area adjacent to North Station.

The circulation and waiting space will be created by relocating the existing wall between the cross platform and train shed area approximately 80 feet north into the train shed and filling in the track area between the platforms with a new concrete floor. The space will include new finishes on the floor, lighting, seating and provision for the future installation of 2,800 square feet of free-standing retail kiosks.

The existing men's and women's toilets will be converted into a larger women's toilet and a new men's toilet and garage ticket area will be added at the location of the existing west garage ticket area.
