Courthouse Station
Courthouse Station, a terminus on the Silver Line, is located in the heart of the new Seaport Distict on the South Boston Waterfront and features a new MBTA underground electric bus line. Elkus/Manfredi Architects Ltd planned and developed the design for Courthouse Station. STV/Domenech, Hicks & Krockmalnic Architects were the production architects. The design unveils a new Boston neighborhood energizing this stretch of New Northern Avenue. The wall and ceiling surfaces of the station have been constructed of a reflective aluminum, onto which colored light and advertising will be projected, eliminating the use of billboards.
