Subway

Red Line Braintree branch service has been restored. Train service is available from Alewife to Ashmont as well as from Alewife to Braintree Stations.  

Orange Line train service has resumed between Oak Grove and Wellington stations. All trains will operate between Forest Hills and Oak Grove stations. 

Green Line service has been restored on all branches.  

  • Along the B branch, trolley service will run in both directions between Boston College and Park Street.
  • Along the C branch, trolley service will run in both directions between Cleveland Circle and North Station.
  • Along the D branch, trolley service will run in both directions between Riverside and Park Street. 
  • Along the E branch, trolley service will run in both directions between Heath Street and Lechmere. 

Blue Line train service is operating between Bowdoin and Wonderland Stations. MBTA passengers may also park in available Massport parking at Suffolk Downs and board Massport employee shuttles either to Airport terminals or to the Blue Line Airport station.

Mattapan Trolley service has been restored. Mattapan trolleys will make stops at all stations between Ashmont and Mattapan.

Commuter Rail

All Commuter Rail lines will operate on a modified weekday schedule on Monday, February 23, through Friday, February 27. Schedules for each line are below:

Framingham/Worcester
Franklin
Haverhill
Kingston/Plymouth - There will be no service available at Plymouth Station. Train 034 will stop at JFK/UMass to accommodate BC High students. 
Lowell
Middleborough/Lakeville 
Needham
Newburyport/Rockport
Providence/Stoughton - There will be no service available at TF Green Airport or Wickford Junction Stations.
Greenbush

Providence Line: RIPTA will provide morning bus service from Wickford Junction and T.F. Green to Providence on Friday, February 27. Peter Pan Bus Lines will provide afternoon and evening service on Friday, February 27, and all future replacement bus service.

Northbound from Wickford to Providence on February 27:

  • Bus leaves Wickford Junction at 4:50 a.m., leaves intermodal station at T.F. Green at 5:05 a.m., and arrives in Providence at 5:20 a.m. (Train 802). 
  • Bus leaves Wickford Junction at 5:48 a.m., leaves intermodal station at T.F. Green at 6:03 a.m., and arrives in Providence at 6:28 a.m. (Train 806). 
  • Bus leaves Wickford Junction at 6:27 a.m., leaves intermodal station at T.F. Green at 6:42 a.m., and arrives in Providence at 6:52 a.m. (Train 808). 
  • Bus leaves Wickford Junction at 7:32 a.m., leaves intermodal station at T.F. Green at 7:49 a.m., and arrives in Providence at 8:14 a.m. (Train 812). 
  • Bus leaves Wickford Junction at 9:00 a.m., leaves intermodal station at T.F. Green at 9:15 a.m., and arrives in Providence at 9:40 a.m. (Train 814). 
  • Bus leaves Wickford Junction at 1:00 p.m., leaves intermodal station at T.F. Green at 1:15 p.m., and arrives in Providence at 1:40 p.m. (Train 818). 

Commuter Rail service is expected to have delays and cancellations due to switch and signal issues and mechanical issues with locomotives.

Bus

Buses, including the Silver Line, will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Friday, February 27. Buses will experience delays due to traffic and road conditions. Customers are asked to prepare accordingly for longer wait times.

Boat

Charlestown service will operate on a weekday schedule on Friday, February 27.

 Hull service will operate on a weekday schedule on Friday, February 27, with no service to Hingham.

 Hingham service will be suspended on Friday, February 27, due to ice in the harbor.

Due to limited parking availability, Hingham Ferry customers utilizing Hull Ferry service are strongly encouraged not to park at Pemberton Point. Replacement shuttle bus service will be provided from Lot F near the Beach Fire Restaurant & Bar to the Pemberton Point Ferry Terminal from the start of service on Wednesday, February 25, until the end of service Friday, February 27. The buses will depart from Lot F at 6:30 a.m., 7 a.m., and 7:30 a.m. The buses will be at the Pemberton Point Ferry Terminal at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. for the return trip home to Lot F.

THE RIDE

The RIDE will operate on Friday, February 27, but service will be affected by road conditions and access to residences.

During inclement weather, The RIDE strongly recommends that you check with your contractor directly as services may be curtailed and customers should expect delays. The numbers are as follows:
