Bus with Flashing Green Lights

A bus with flashing green lights is a signal of distress. It means that there is some type of emergency onboard the bus. If you see a bus with flashing green lights please notify the Transit Police immediately at 617-222-1212 or 9-1-1.
Try and provide as much information as possible when reporting to the dispatcher:
- Location: Street, City or Town.
- Bus number.
- The direction the bus is heading.
- If known, the type of emergency.
The green lights will flash in the front and in the rear of the bus. The digital signs in front and on the side will flash from "EMERGENCY" to "CALL POLICE 617-222-1212." Note the bus number is located on all sides of the bus.
