Bus Stop Violations

The Transit Police receive numerous complaints from persons, some elderly and disabled, who are unable to board buses from the sidewalk due to illegally parked motor vehicles in bus stops. The Transit Police are asking all persons not to park or stop their vehicle in any bus stop. Transit Police, having all the powers conferred or imposed upon Police Officers of cities and towns, have the authority to issue parking violations to violators of this law. If you park your motor vehicle in a bus stop you are subject to a fine and ultimately have your vehicle towed at your own expense.
