MBTA Payroll

In conjunction with the Commonwealth's transparency-promoting Open Checkbook program, the MBTA's payroll and related information is available for public review. The bar graph that shows that the MBTA headcount is at an eleven-year low (despite the fact the MBTA is providing more service now than it did ten years ago). Total wages (regular and overtime) were lower than FY2009 and virtually the same as FY2010. This comes despite the fact that many employees were needed to work overtime for one of the snowiest winters in many years, a tropical storm, a Stanley Cup parade, and a Halloween eve snow storm.
